Trinidadian born chef and world traveller Roger Mooking has earned a reputation as one of North America’s premier Chefs by developing a culinary philosophy built on the perfect execution of globally inspired culinary traditions. As a third generation restaurateur and chef he began his formal training at the esteemed George Brown Culinary Management Program.

Roger co-owned and consulted on many award-winning and notable food and beverage operations throughout his career including Kultura and Nyood in Toronto, Canada. In 2015 Roger opened his globally inspired restaurant “Twist by Roger Mooking” at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Chef Mooking is the Host and Co-Creator of his own Internationally broadcast television series Everyday Exotic. His award-winning cookbook, based on the show, explores pairing ingredients from all corners of the globe with everyday meals. He is the co-host of Heat Seekers airing on Food Network and Host of Man Fire Food on Cooking Channel. Roger is a reoccurring judge on Chopped Canadawhich premiered to an all-time audience record high on Food Network Canada. His culinary talents have led to appearances around the world including The Today Show, New York City Food & Wine, Good Morning America, The Marilyn Denis Show, Barbados Food & Wine and Rum, Martha Stewart Radio, Top Chef Canada, Toronto Food & Wine, Chopped, Guys Grocery Games and Iron Chef to name a few.

Taking his talents outside of the kitchen, this Juno award winning recording artist has graced the stage with icons such as James Brown and Celine Dion. In 2016, Mooking’s world came full circle; catering the Juno Awards Gala and serving up his signature Mooking culinary dishes to the best in the Canadian music scene. According to Roger ‘food feeds the body, music feeds the soul”.

But for Roger, what is most important is being a dedicated husband and father of four daughters.
